Governance metropolitana: forme istituzionali a confronto in Europa

Sebbene l’importanza dei fenomeni metropolitani sia generalmente riconosciuta, poco si conosce sulla loro definizione istituzionale. Basandosi sugli esiti dei progetti ESPON COMPASS e METRO, questo contributo confronta i modelli di governance metropolitana in Europa. Essi sono classificati in base a quattro variabili: (i) il processo d’istituzionalizzazione, (ii) la forma istituzionale, (iii) la ricerca di coerenza con i fenomeni funzionali e (iv) le competenze e gli strumenti.
